About Kasol

Kasol, Himachal Pradesh is very well known among travelers for being a heaven for budget travelers.  The reason why Kasol is famous among travelers is that it caters to all types of travelers, if you are a luxurious traveler or budget, it will satisfy all your needs.

Kasol is situated at an altitude of 1580 meters, thus a sweatshirt is mandatory all year round. A large population of the town is foreigners with a higher influence from Israel. This town is best if you want to spend your vacation in a budget-friendly way. This village is an open space by the bank of the Parvati river, where any individual can spend a lazy afternoon.

You will get overall good connectivity in the town of almost all network providers, thus making it a perfect spot for "Work from Mountains" too. With tourists coming from every corner of the world, Kasol has been a personal favourite of hundreds of hipsters.

How to reach Kasol?

By Air

The nearest airport to Kasol is Kullu Manali Airport also known as Bhuntar Airport in the Kullu district. You will get almost daily connecting flights from Delhi. You can book a cab or a taxi to go to Kasol from the Bhuntar airport which is a mere 31 km and will take you about 1 hour to reach there.

For tourists coming from other states, you can take a flight to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. From there, you can either opt for a bus, cab (540 km with a 12-14 hours journey) or take another flight from IGI Airport to Bhuntar and reach Kasol similarly as above.

By Train

If you are planning to travel by train, the nearest station would be Chandigarh Railway Station which is around 296 Km from Kasol. You can book cabs from Chandigarh or get public or government buses running from Chandigarh to Manali which might take around 9-10 hours to reach Manali, and then you can easily get any shared cab to Kasol. 

​

Although Kasol does not have its own railway station if you are dedicated to travel by train and also want to experience the railways between the mountains, then you can book your seats till Joginder Nagar Railway Station, which is around 144 Km away from the village of Kasol. You can take a cab from the station to reach Kasol or a bus from the Joginder Nagar Bus Stand towards Manikaran which should take about 4.5 to 5 hours.

By Bus

Himachal Pradesh is one of the most visited states in-country and is also popular among outsiders. Being so famous, the state is well connected by roads and has one of the most scenic routes among all other places in India.

Short Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrive Kasol - Have breakfast - Go for a leisure walk near Parvati River and spend some quality time - Go for Chalal trek in the evening - Come back and explore the local market and delicacies - Bonfire and Dinner.

Day 2 - We start our trek to Tosh village - Explore and interact with locals - Spend some quality time in nature - Return back to Kasol Camp, bonfire and have dinner.

​

Day 3 - Wake up early morning and have breakfast - After breakfast, we reach Barshaini from Kasol by cab and then start our trek from Barshaini - Trek distance 12 Kms - Reach Kheerganga by evening - Camp overnight - Enjoy bonfire and share stories with each other - Have dinner and get into your tents for a peaceful sleep or you can also do stargazing.

Day 4 - Wake up early morning to watch magical sunrise over the snow-clad mountain peaks - Take a dip in the hot water spring - Have a nutritious breakfast and start descending till Barshaini and reach Manikaran by evening. Board overnight bus for Delhi with some amazing memories.

  • A travel plan will be as per itinerary, and if there is any issue like road condition, weather condition, or any other unavoidable circumstances then the itinerary can be changed.

  • Accommodation in Hotel/Camps for 2 Nights in Kasol and 1 Night camp in Kheerganga.

Booking Confirmation Policy

  • The customer receives a confirmation about the booking via e-mail within 24 hours of successful booking. In case a customer has not received any e-mail from us on booking confirmation post 24 hours, he/she can reach us at thehappytrekkers@gmail.com or can also call us at 8759990845 / 9647110928.

  • In case we find that there are no slots available for a certain date, the customer will be given the option to reschedule to some other date or cancel the tour with a full refund to their source account within the next 10 business days.

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancellations are made within the last 30 days before the start of the trek, 30% of the total tour cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.

  • If cancellations are made within the last 15 days before the start of the trek, 50% of the tour cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.

  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, the trek might get canceled. In such cases, we will try our best to provide an alternate date or alternate trek to the customer. However, a cash refund will not be applicable for the same, customer can book some other tours for some other dates. 

  • In case a customer wants to reschedule a date, he or she can do that by simply dropping a mail at thehappytrekkers@gmail.com

Refund Policy

  • The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

  • All the applicable refund will be done in the customer's source account.
