About Hampta Pass

Hampta Pass lies in the state of Himachal Pradesh which apparently is the most toured state in India among the others. People from across the world visit this beautiful tourist destination in order to do the high-altitude treks of the Indian Himalayas. This state further extends itself to the Spiti region which is undoubtedly the winter paradise of India. The white carpet of snow is something that tourists can die for.

Hampta Pass is the easy to moderate trek in the state of Himachal Pradesh with the most spectacular view. You get to see two completely different sides of the state. On one side you see the lush green forests, grasslands and on the other side, you can see the barren mountains with almost zero greenery.

On this trek, you cover a distance of 25 km within the span of 5 days. Although this trek can be completed within 4 days, one extra day is kept to visit Chandratal Lake, a high-altitude alpine lake a few hours away from Chatru.

The lack of any hard-core adventure in the trail is easily compensated by the abundance of natural beauty, which will surprise you at every twist and turn of the trek.
